ABOUT Tomas Rivera Middle School's GATE Program | The goal of Tomas Rivera Middle School's GATE program is to provide high quality differentiated curriculum in the classroom and stimulating extracurricular activities for students who are identified as having special abilities and a potential for high performance. Our GATE students are offered accelerated classes in math, language arts, social studies, and science. Once placed in CP classrooms with other GATE students and high achievers, our GATE students regularly participate in project-based learning activities including open-ended projects. They are also provided opportunities to explore their individual interests. In addition to providing our students differentiated instruction in the classroom, our GATE students are provided with opportunities to participate in GATE-only assemblies, academic fieldtrips, after-school enrichment activities, special intervention classes, and more. If you have any questions, please e-mail Mr. Blomberg at or Mrs. Nuttall, the TRMS GATE facilitators. | Here is a brochure about the Tomas Rivera Middle School GATE Program. |
