Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to Rancho Verde High School where our motto is Challenge and Motivate. It is a great honor for me to serve the students, parents, teachers and community of Rancho Verde High School as your new Principal.
Rancho Verde High School is a Comprehensive High School where 98% of all seniors passed the CAHSEE and 540 received diplomas in 2009. As a school we have programs and clubs that will meet every student's needs and interests. We strongly encourage our students to get involved in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities during their high school years at Rancho Verde High School. As a result of student dedication and sacrifice, combined with adult expertise and direction, Rancho Verde High School has been recognized both at the state and national level. For example, Rancho Verde High is now a Nationally Recognized AVID Demonstration School. Our choir performed at Carnegie Hall, New York. We have award winning Band, Dance, Theater and Cheerleading programs. We have a highly decorated AFJROTC program and a host of other clubs. Other 2009 accomplishments are as follows:
Rancho Verde High School is distinguished as a Model High School by Riverside County Office of Education.
Varsity Football - Inland Valley League Champions three years in a row
Boys Basketball - Inland Valley League Champions again.
Varsity Track and Field - Inland Valley League Champions & CIF State Runners up
Michael Snaer - Ronald McDonald Boys Basketball All American, Gatorade Boys Basketball State of California player of the year
Solar Cup - Finished 7th out of 33 Southern California entries.
Band - A top performing program that qualified for the State Band Championships
Division I University Full Ride Scholarships for the following: Six in football, one in Track and Field, and one in basketball. Several students received scholarships for academic excellence.
Blaine Chatman - Nationally recognized as a Merit Scholar and accepted to Stanford University on an academic scholarship.
Best High School Test Scores in the Val Verde USD and Moreno Valley.
Outstanding advanced placement test scores for 2009.
