Welcome to El Potrero's Chess Club Webpage!

Students meet in Mr. Ho's class, room #20 (4th/5th graders), everyday from 7:30-8:00 AM, Monday to Friday.  We also use Mrs. Gamboa's room #13 (2nd/3rd graders).

If you are interested in joining our El Potrero Chess Club, please see Mr. Ho for a Chess Club and job application.  Yes, both need to be filled out completely and signed  by both the student's teacher and parent.

Also, we meet every Saturday at the new Orange Terrace Library in Orange Crest from 2:00 -4:00 PM.  We have the privilege of having two Nationally Ranked USCF Chess Players who can coach and mentor the players for FREE!  Coach James is also phenominal with the players.

Else, you can also go Sundays from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Downtown Riverside Public Library to play chess games.  Students can meet and play with other chess club members from Lasselle Elementary, as well as, from other school districts.  Other chess club coaches will be there to give free advice and suggestion on chess strategies.

Our 1st two tournaments, Triple Crown and El Potrero at Lasselle Elementary School Chess Tournaments were huge successes!
