 Avalon Elementary School has been recognized by the State of California as a Distinguished School. Our teachers and staff work hard and set high expectations for all of our students. We appreciate so much, the efforts of our staff and students. The support of the parents in their children's learning has certainly been an important factor. Many thanks go to them. We also appreciate the support we receive from many of our business partners in the community. Together we make a great team! Each year Avalon will continue to strive for growth and work towards the goals we have set for ourselves. Our AYP score this year is 819 This year we have set a AYP goal of 859 "859" Watch us Shine!!! We teach our students the importance of setting goals and always looking toward the future. Our students are excited about learning and making positive choices that will lead them to success in their homes, school and community. A Message from the Principal
Welcome to Avalon Elementary School, home of the Falcons! Our motto "Falcons on a quest for knowledge to attend college". As a brand new school we built the foundation, created excellence, and committed ourselves to high standards of teaching and learning. Our greatest commitment is to prepare students for middle school, high school and college. In the spirit of continuous improvement, we accomplish this through the triangle of caring. It takes the student, parents, and the school to achieve exceptional results. We are a professional learning community where staff, students, parents, and the community embrace the idea that together we can make a difference. Avalon Elementary School provides quality programs to enrich the educational experiences of our students. Children have a right to learn and our teachers are here to make that happen. Our staff is hard-working, dedicated professionals, determined to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
