A 2008 California Distinguished School! Neighbors to the north, Riverside Community College: Moreno Valley campus, provide the appropriate setting for the school motto:
"On the Prowl for Wisdom and Knowledge: Preparing Students for Higher Education." Each day, Lasselle is on a Safari of Learning, where adventure, curiosity and learning await those embarking on the academic journey of exploration. Perseverance, team work and leadership pave the road on the adventure. Each day, the jeeps are loaded with curriculum, technology, and materials. The twenty-five support service members embody the protective gear. Standards provide the road maps, and thirty-two teachers serve as trained, experienced guides. Leadership steers the caravan and assessments are set up as checkpoints to ensure the passengers, all 840 students, are on the right path to success. Parents and guardians are on-board assisting with the navigation and familiarizing themselves the journey. The path to the destination includes before, during and after school interventions, co-curricular activities, opportunities for parent involvement and growth, professional development and collaboration, character education, and sound lessons through research-based instructional strategies. Although these may seem to be common elements to a school, the Lasselle approach characterizes dedication. Lasselle's dedication sets it aside. The staff's commitment to student-centered decisions is the underlying purpose of student success. Achievements show that this student-centered philosophy is valuable. The students are the evidence. They demonstrate well-rounded qualities through their academic achievements and character . We hope this web-site serves our community well to communicate the daily activites, events, and triumphs of our school. Please visit often and let us know if you have suggestions.
